Jeff's formal education includes Master of Divinity,
University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, Dubuque, IA. and One Unit-Clinical
Pastoral Education at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Blank Children's
Hospital, Des Moines, IA. He also has a Bachelor of Arts in History from
Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. He is currently working on his Masters in
History.
Jeff
has served as a Hospital Chaplain, been a Youth Advisory Delegate (Presbytery
of Missouri River Valley) at the 2001 General Assembly of the PCUSA in
Louisville, KY and been a Team Member on two mission trips to Yucatan
Mexico. He has many gifts and a sincere desire and ability to work with
people of all ages and backgrounds.
The ordination and installation of Rev. McDonald was September 9,
2007. His seminary friend and colleague, Rev. Caryn A. Pedersen, pastor
at Red Oak, IA, gave the sermon, "A Holy Calling". Presbytery
moderator, Mr. John Morey posed the Constitutional Questions to Rev. McDonald
and the congregation. Following the Laying on of Hands, and Declaration
of Ordination, the service closed with one of Pastor McDonald's favorite hymns,
"Blessed Assurance".
