PREPARING OUR HEARTS FOR WORSHIP

CALL TO WORSHIP (Responsively):

LEADER: There are different gifts.

CONGREGATION: But it is the same Spirit who gives them.

LEADER: There are different ways of serving God.

CONGREGATION: But it is the same Lord who is served.

LEADER: God works through different people in different ways.

CONGREGATION: But it is the same God who achieves his purpose through them all.

LEADER: Each one is given a gift by the Spirit.

CONGREGATION: And we are to use the gifts God has given us to point people to Christ so that others can know him and have eternal life.

Passing the Peace of Christ

PRAISE HYMN:  “You Are My All In All” [insert]

PRAYER OF CONFESSION: Almighty God: you have lifted up our Lord Jesus from death into life eternal.  We confess that we have not always followed him, or acknowledged his rule in our lives.  Many times we have followed the way of the world.  Forgive us, O God, and lift us out of sin.  Make us men and women who live to praise you, and to obey the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the King of the world and head of the church his body. Amen.
